Epidemic Outbreaks by Country

*Epidemics by first major outbreak location, divided by current population. Note that historical outbreaks are counted under the country which currently governs the area. For example outbreaks in Ancient Rome are included in Italy. Also, because many epidemics are hard to trace, some data is questionable. This graph is not to be used for serious studies, as its primary source is Wikipedia, which is often wrong. It is just interesting to me. Epidemics which had no initial outbreak country found were ignored.
